A distinctive and unique beer to be savoured.
An authentic Belgian style farmhouse ale that is truly unique and complex. Saisons originated in Wallonia in southern Belgium and historically were brewed at the beginning of winter in a farmhouse brewery in order to quench the thirst of the farmhands who worked in the fields in spring and summer.
Temple Saison is pale and cloudy with a light orange hue and a dense rocky head. The aroma is full of fruit and spice with a noticeable yeast character. Unmalted spelt (one of the world’s oldest cultivated grains) lends a dry wheaty note to both the aroma and flavour.
Dry and refreshing with fruit and spice layered on a soft malt background, it is aggressively hopped, with the emphasis on aromatics and flavour rather than on bitterness. The mouthfeel is lean with a dry, slightly tart finish.
The subtle use of spices including coriander, authentic Belgian orange peel and an exotic Brazilian pepper adds a further level of complexity.
