Temple Soba Ale

Temple Soba Ale

A cold-fermented ale with the distinctive flavour of toasted buckwheat.

Inspired by a classic German Alt beer, but with a decidedly un-Reinheitsgebot twist – the addition of buckwheat, an ingredient usually reserved for Japanese soba noodles.

Traditional malts blend with the flavour of specially toasted buckwheat (which is not a grain at all, but actually a berry from a plant related to rhubarb) to create a unique nutty, dry, ‘salt cracker-ness’.

Cold fermentation and the liberal use of noble hops lends a clean, crisp finish.

A perfect beer to savour on its own or paired with food, particularly Asian dishes.
